Class Exercises 2 --collection

I use Red,Yellow,Blue & Green in the collection .

This collection included 3 color schemes & 1 principle:

1.Triad Color Scheme:

Red, yellow & Blue are Triad colors.
This scheme uses the colors at 120º around the color wheel .

2.Complimentary color scheme:

Red & Green are the complimentary colors . Red is a warm color and Green & Blue are cool colors.When it worn together,complimentary colors can make each other look brighter.

3.Analogous color scheme:

Green & Blue are the analogous colors. Analogous colors can maintain the fluidity of monochromatic matching with more variety and energy.

Intensity or Chroma:

>>The color i used are very bright colors.If we want to create a color harmony to these colors,we can use them with same intensity.

I used them in lower intensity, so the collection look more harmony.

Class exercise @ Color analysis -- Scotland pattern

Red and blue are the Split complimentary colors.
Split complimaentary color is choosing one color and using the color on each side of its complement on the color wheel.



Blue and Green, Red and Yellow are the Analogous colors .
Those are adjacent to each other on the color wheel. They create harmonious combinations because they are relatives and have little contrast.



Red and Green are the complmentary colors.
Those colors are opposite each other on the color wheel.
A pair of complementary colors has one warm and one cool color. When worn together, complementary colors make each other look brighter.

Burberry use Monochromatic color scheme in it's pattern designs.

This scheme uses the same color but changes the brightness and saturation to achieve different shades and tints.

This is a apple red which is pleasing and readily accepted.

Using single color based on a black color background is always Atsuro's style.
Single color with a design which haven't too many details give a feeling of cleaness and straightforward .

The best selling product in Atsuro Tayama is a pair of white classic shoes.

Why it's color in white but not the other color?

White is one of Achromatic colors and always appear in Tayama's collection.

2008 spring summary

Main color:

The color in yellow in spring 2008 is bright.

YELLOW is lively and happy,the color of sunshine.It can represent cheerful.Pale yellow would make it breezy & springlike. So we always see it in the spring collection.

However,Since it's so relentlessly cheerful,we tend to tire of it quickly.So we seldom see the designer totally using yellow in their collection.

IN this collection, designer using white,black & little green to match the yellow.

Blue is a color of the sky & the sea; Green is the color of trees and grass, both have a claming effect.They are Analogous Color . They are adjacent to each other on the color wheel. They create harmonious combinations because they are relatives and have little contrast.
